Folkheart...

Folkheart was started as a "girlfriend place". A shopping experience where you would meet up with your friends for shopping, inspiration and/or gift buying.
Folkheart is evolving as we find new adventures...from setting up at the Knitting Mills, our online blogs and shops, great shows to share our wares and meet up with our Folkheart Friends.
We are enjoying the experience and hope to share it with you!!!

Back on Track and Ready for Fall!!!

Hello Folkheart Friends....
I know, I know, we are way overdue for an update. Our last show, which we LOVED was in Lafayette, GA. I had hoped to have lots of great pictures to share with you...but somehow they got lost at Wally World...so sadly, I have none to share. But needless to say, it was a fun day, we met some great creative women, listened to beautiful music by Angel Snow and ate the most glorious white chocolate cake....what more could a girl want!!! We hope these ladies will do this show again next year. As we get more info we will post it here.

We are so excited about the upcoming shows we are doing....and burning the midnight oil is not joke around here!!! LOL Our next show on the list is the Fall Hodge Podge show on Signal Mountain. This is our first year to do the show, but I have attended in the past and it has always been a good one, so we are really looking forward to this. It will be held on October 3rd and 4th (Friday and Saturday). We will have an outdoor booth this year (yes, I will be the one whining about that...lol). Also this same weekend, we will divide up on Saturday to do the Heritage Days show on Saturday (Oct. 4) it is from 11-3 in Lafayette, GA. So please visit us at one of these shows we would love to see you there.

Our next bit of business is our new blog....it is not ready yet, but it is:
http://www.folkheartprimitivegatherings.com/
You will be able to see our new and some old favorite items here...and be able to purchase them directly from the site. Some of you that are our out of state subscribers will appreciate this as you won't have to drive to a show to pick up some of the fun things we will be carrying.

Give me just a couple of days, and we will have items listed on the gatherings site.....along with a list of classes that Debbie will be offering this Fall.

Thanks so much for all your support....and PLEASE leave us a comment, we would love to hear from you.
Have a great week....
Debbie and Hope

Fun Things Ahead.....

Hello All!!
We have been BUSY! And we love our spot at The Knitting Mills, here in Chattanooga. We have heard from some of you that have stopped by and we appreciate your continued business.
Continue to stop by as we are adding new items to our spot on a frequent basis.

A bit of news about Southern Lights. Lisa will be closing her store, but we will continue to carry her melts. These have been a favorite from the beginning. Currently, we are carrying:
Hummingbird Cake, Apple Jack and Peel, Vanilla Butter Fudge, Apple Clove Butter, Crushed Pineapple, Amish Country Store. These fragrant gems are great for scenting your home...wonderful gifts for friends....great favors for weddings or birthdays.

We have a new grouping of pictures for our booth and shows....Laurie (Hope's Daughter) has provided us with some of her beautiful photos. One of my favorites is her Rock City Barn pictures. Check them out when you are by the booth.

We are planning to do two shows this Fall....Hodge Podge in October and Gingerbread Show in November. We will give you further information on those shows soon.

Also....we are looking into offering a few classes at Debbie's home in Dayton. If you are interested, please email us about which classes and whether you would prefer days or weekends for classes. Currently we are interested in offering:
Doll Making (basics)

Basic Stitchery (for pillows or wallhangings)
Email Debbie at dailygrace@bellsouth.net

We will also be putting items on www.countryfriedprimitives.com Great site for primitive items...we will be posting items by the 15th of the month.

Debbie will be hosting an online radio program called "Creative Living 101". Just about fun girlfriend things from family, friendship, faith, recipes, home dec and crafting...we will update you as soon as the date and time are set.

And lastly (for now).....we have had several crafters come to us for information on working their business and getting started with shows, online and more. Debbie will be offering a consulting service to help you get started and work out some of the bugs. Debbie has had 20 years experience in the crafting world from online selling, shops, shows and more. Hallelujah!!! We Have Moved!!!!

Hello to all!!

Well, the great move has finally happened and we are excited about our new home in the Knitting Mills (located on Manufacturer's Road, next to Green Life Grocery).

Setting up there was so easy, the staff is wonderful to work with and we are thrilled to be part of this shopping experience! We hope that you will stop by to visit our booth there...some of our other friends from Folkheart will be showing up either in their own booths or as part of ours.

Hope and I are taking a week off to rest and regroup from all the packing and moving frenzy....but we will be back here with regular updates on the booth and what shows we will be participating in. Plus we want to share tips on decorating, home comforts and such.
