The 1920's marked a breaking-off from the rigid Victorian ways and these rebellious women did away with the corset and donned silky short dresses that exposed their arms and their legs. They rolled down their stockings and put on makeup, which until the 1920's was unacceptable in society. The Roaring 20's must have been something, and I am sorry I missed it!

ReplyDeleteWonderful artpiece - so soft and so elegant. I hope everyone enlarges it because there is a lot to see and all of it gorgeous. The women of the 1920's must have felt so liberated to be able to breathe and show off their healthy figures. Fantastic.
