Take a Word Challenge - Memories

My favorite childhood memories are of when the circus came to town.  The sights, the sounds, the smells all completely thrilled me.  All these years later I am still drawn to the big top and all of the magic it held.

  2. I have great memories of the 'big top' too, the clowns could be a wee bit scary, though!! You've created a wonderful layout here, definitely a 'great show!!'

  3. Your wonderful collage brings back so many memories for me too. The sounds, the smell, the excitement. Cirque du Soleil is visiting my home town at the moment but it's not the same.

Great artwork and a great memory.

  8. Circuses were magical, for sure. There was such a mystery about the performers and their lifestyle (at least for me), and I held them all in some sort of awe. This is a beautiful tribute to the circuses of old!

By the way, what is your first name? Your profile only tells me you live in one of my most favorite part of the states!

  9. Love the rich red you used in this piece. We are going to see "Water for Elephants" your piece reminds me of this time period.

  10. As a child I've never been to the circus. Our parents did'nt have the money to buy seven tickets for their children but when I was older and went with my own children....I act like I was a child too !! LOL

  13. That looks like so much fun! I've never been to a real circus. We did go to Ringling Brothers "winter" home in Florida once, though.
