Beeswax Collages on 4 x 4 Tumbled Slate

These are new pieces that I will be offering on Etsy.  Each is quite detailed, heavily textured, and contain handpainted elements, bits of vintage fabrics, egg shell, etc.  Please click to enlarge so that you can truly appreciate them.  These are very reasonably priced and would  make such a lovely gift!  Thanks so much for looking.

Something new on Etsy

Today I listed this 8 x 10 beeswax collage.  It is primarily autumnal tones, and the beeswax is the natural amber color I favor.  There is a lot of textural interest to this piece, and after many layers of beeswax, I added paper flowers, the "Imagine" frame, corkscrew willow and a vintage button.  The collage contains vintage images, text, various papers, my hand painted water color of an owl, and a strong nod toward  nursing, and wisdom . The substrate is tempered masonite.  Thanks for taking a peek!

Beeswax Collages

I have loved waxing my collages.  Is there anything better than that wonderful, natural scent?  I really like adding one more of my "senses" to my art.  Who knew it would be sense of smell?  These are the latest additions to my Etsy shop.  Thank you for stopping by!
